Luca Rittatore is a Project Manager, Auditor and Medical Device Expert at DEKRA Certification BV. With 15 years of experience in the Medical Device field, he holds a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Politecnico di Torino. He joined former Sorin Group, Cardiac Rhythm Management Business Unit, in 2010 as a R&D engineer, focusing on hardware testing, and served the company through its transitions to LivaNova and MicroPort Scientific as a V&V Manager, Production Support Manager and Hardware Development Manager for active implantable devices and peripherals. He then stepped in the start-up environment acting as Program Manager at InnovHeart (transcatheter mitral valve replacement), and lately moved to DEKRA Certification BV in September 2022. His main focus are active implantable and non-implantable medical devices, and non-active, non-implantable medical devices. In his role, he assists several customers developing and marketing class III medical devices, predominantly in the domains of cardiac rhythm management, neurostimulation and intensive care.
